A/B Testing for Email Campaigns
Compare subject line or content variations on a portion of your list – the winner is sent to the rest.
A/B tests eliminate debates like "which subject line is better" – the numbers decide.
Where to find it
Email Marketing → A/B Tests (…/email-marketing/ab-tests).
How it works
- Create a test: Variant A and Variant B (subject line, sender, or content).
- Set the test audience percentage (e.g., 10% of your list for each variant) and the winning metric (opens or clicks).
- The system sends variants to the test groups, waits for the specified time, and automatically sends the winner to the rest of the list.
Tips
- Test one variable at a time – otherwise, you won't know what worked;
- On small lists (<1000), results are noisy: only test significant changes.
