Salvage
How to write off a device and account for its working components as separate products.
When a laptop is beyond repair, its value lies in its working components. Salvage processes the disassembly: the device is written off, and the parts become separate products.
Where to find
Products & Inventory module → Salvage / Disassembly (…/erp/salvage).
Process
- Select the donor device from the catalog.
- Add the components you are removing: screen, keyboard, motherboard, battery — each becomes a new product card linked to the donor.
- Complete the disassembly — the donor is written off, and the components are added to inventory.

Why
- Spare parts for your own repairs — you always know what's in stock;
- Selling components on eBay/Allegro — often more profitable than selling a whole non-functional device.
